I have never done anything more than idle note-taking in ClickUp docs and my team actually started laughing as we tried out ClickUp whiteboards. That'd be nice but pretty far from reality: instead of being 95% the same some of ClickUp's apps are about 50% worse. The idea is that all word processors (for instance) or kanban apps are the same and one just bundles them all together. ![]() I think you're approaching the point I did a few months ago, when I realized this "one app" shit was just marketing and pretty far from reality given how bad many of the apps in ClickUp are. Of course, this probably wouldn't work for a much larger team, or a business with multiple departments, etc. Here's a screenshot of a standard board template I used for each new clients / project. Ironically this is how I operated for several years before changing to ClickUp at the beginning of 2023, only to change back now. I could just as easily use Google's slack equivalent but I didn't find it as robust and didn't have as much ingegration. I have started integrating Google Drive and Docs and use Slack to maintain a history of client / projects specific conversations. I have a small agency of five with about 20 ongoing clients / projects. ![]() It's also largely dependent on your team and workflow. It all comes down to your needs and how you operate. I thought it was what all the 'pros' were using so wanted to stay relevant. I made the change to ClickUp as its what everyone was rallying behind on YouTube etc. While ClickUp offers a lot more than Trello, I found it a bit overbearing and slow. I am literally in the process of moving back to Trello myself. ![]()
